Houston & Hawkes are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead operations at a high-profile corporate hospitality site in Central London. This role is ideal for someone who is commercially astute, naturally confident with clients, and passionate about sustainability in food and service. You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the site, including a busy calendar of corporate events and hospitality services working closely with a client who places great emphasis on quality, ethical practices, and guest experience. This is a visible, hands-on leadership role where financial performance and face-to-face engagement all come together.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of site operations, from daily food service to corporate events
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders
- Ensure the smooth planning and delivery of corporate hospitality and events
- Take full ownership of budgeting, financial reporting, and P&L performance
- Inspire and support your team to deliver outstanding service at all levels
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food safety, and company standards
- Champion sustainability across menus, operations, and event planning
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and long-term value for the client
About You
- Proven experience in corporate hospitality and event delivery
- Confident managing multiple service streams: daily catering, hospitality, and events
- Financially confident, with strong budgeting and reporting skills
- A natural communicator - warm, professional, and effective in client-facing roles
- Committed to sustainability and responsible operational practices
- Strong leadership with a collaborative, team-first approach
- Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable in fast-paced environments
- Competent with Excel, digital reporting, and planning tools
