We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper or Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career to gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of financial activities, working closely with the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Support the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
- Help maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
- Identify and suggest process improvements within the finance function
Requirements
Essential
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Good communication skills
Desirable
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software
