Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Quality Standards & Registered Service Manager to join their Senior Leadership Team. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will drive excellence, compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across our supported accommodation services, including Ofsted registered provision.
Key statutory and regulatory obligations include:
- Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023
- Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act 2023
- Local Authority commissioning requirements and quality standards
- Ofsted and Department for Education expectations
As Head of Quality Standards & Registered Service Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for supported accommodation quality standards across our organisation. Responsibilities include:
- Quality assurance, compliance, and service improvement
- Oversight of Ofsted registered supported accommodation services
- Regulatory inspections, audits, and reporting
- Workforce development, coaching, and supervision of managers
- Safeguarding and support standards for looked after children and care leavers
- Partnership working with Local Authorities and commissioners
- Development of policies, frameworks, and service standards
- Business development, tendering, and strategic growth opportunities
You will also complete the Ofsted registration process as the Registered Service Manager and act as a key point of contact for Ofsted-regulated provision.
We are seeking an experienced leader with strong knowledge of supported accommodation, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Experience & Knowledge:
- Significant management experience within supported accommodation, housing, youth work, social care, education, probation, or related services
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted supported accommodation regulations and quality standards
- Experience of leading quality assurance, inspections, audits, and service improvement
- Experience of managing and developing staff teams
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, Children Looked After (CLA) and care leaver responsibilities
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including:
- Equalities Act 2010
- Care Act 2014
- Children Act
- Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023
- Ability to build effective partnerships with Local Authorities and external stakeholders
