We are looking for caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our Supported Living team, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independently and enjoy fulfilling lives within their local community. As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs, helping them develop independence, achieve personal goals, and maintain their wellbeing. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and managing appointments.
- Encourage and promote independence, choice, and dignity.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Support individuals to access community activities, social events, education, and employment opportunities.
- Administer or assist with medication in line with company policies and training.
- Maintain accurate records and complete daily documentation.
- Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and promote a safe environment at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or willingness to drive company vehicles.
- Genuine passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, compassionate, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Previous experience in health and social care, supported living, or community support.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs.
