My Client, a Charity, is looking for 18.5 hours a week, based in Coventry.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload ensuring each child/young person receives the appropriate service individual to their needs.
- Ensure the service is accessible to the diversity of black and minority ethnic service users.
- Carry out regular risk assessments and safety planning with service users.
- Work with Safeguarding Adults and Children protocols and policies, referring to the safeguarding children’s board and children & young people’s team as appropriate.
- Recognise children’s individual needs, providing a short to medium term service to meet those needs and work with them to identify their ‘support’ needs, incorporating these into women’s Individual Support Plans.
- Review each plan on a regular basis, keeping updated individual Support and Safety Plans and maintaining confidential files including a computerized case management system.
- Support users to move out of crisis and high-risk independence and self-development.
- Lead in the delivery of a high-quality service, empowering women and children to develop their own coping strategies.
- Monitor and review own practice through evaluation and the use of agreed outcome measures.
- Develop and facilitate projects based on the needs of children and young people within the Community, including them in the co-creation of services and support.
- Develop and maintain local networks and partnerships to encourage effective conversation around domestic abuse, engaging children and young people where appropriate.
