Family Assessment Support Worker – Make a Difference to Families We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and compassionate Family Assessment Support Worker to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children and families who is looking to develop their career within family assessment, social care and safeguarding. The successful candidate will work closely with families during the assessment process, providing practical and emotional support while helping to ensure children remain safe and their needs are at the centre of the work. Key Responsibilities * Support children, parents and families throughout the assessment process. * Observe and record parent-child interactions accurately and objectively. * Provide practical support and guidance to parents. * Promote positive parenting and healthy family relationships. * Maintain a safe, supportive and child-focused environment. * Complete accurate daily records, observations and reports. * Identify and report safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately. * Work alongside social workers and other professionals involved in the assessment. * Attend meetings, reviews and case discussions as required. * Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality. * Support families to engage positively with services and make sustainable changes. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: * Previous experience working with children, young people and/or families. * An understanding of safeguarding and child protection. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong observation and written recording skills. * The ability to build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries. * A calm, patient and non-judgemental approach. * The ability to manage challenging situations professionally. * A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and families. * The ability to work effectively as part of a wider professional team.
