Overview
We are seeking to appoint a Works Planner to join our busy Asset Management team and assist in the management of daily planning and scheduling of work for our internal maintenance team.
The main purpose of this vital role is to coordinate the service delivery of all maintenance services.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day‑to‑day scheduling of responsive, planned and cyclical work, monitoring a range of Key Performance Indicators across the department and ensuring that team/department targets are met.
It is essential that the Works Planner works well with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including the Maintenance Team, Housing, Customer Care, Community Services, contractors, partnering agencies and all external customers.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate responsive, planned, and cyclical maintenance work.
- Monitor KPIs and ensure team and departmental targets are achieved.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal staff and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient service delivery.
- Prioritise competing demands under pressure, maintaining productivity and quality of service.
Qualifications
- GCSE standard (or equivalent) education.
- Experience using computerised databases/systems and delivering good customer service.
- Strong understanding of responsive, planned and cyclical repairs related to housing.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise effectively, and work both independently and within a team to meet department targets.
Shift pattern: seven‑and‑a‑half hour shift Monday to Thursday 08:00–17:15, and a seven‑hour shift on Friday 08:00–16:45.
