We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Project Manager and PMO Lead to support the delivery of Housing Solutions’ systems, technology and service improvement programme. This role provides both hands‑on project management and wider PMO coordination, ensuring that multiple projects – including those with a strong data focus – are planned, sequenced and delivered in a controlled, transparent and effective way.
You’ll develop and maintain the master programme plan, manage concurrent projects, and ensure each initiative progresses through clearly defined stages with appropriate readiness and business involvement. You’ll work closely with internal teams, suppliers and delivery partners to keep work aligned, manage dependencies and maintain delivery momentum.
A key part of the role involves strengthening project governance and delivery discipline – establishing consistent ways of working, maintaining oversight of risks, issues and decisions, and ensuring changes to scope or timelines are managed in a controlled way. You’ll also support readiness, testing, go‑live activity and early‑life support to ensure smooth transitions into operational use.
This is a great opportunity to play a central role in shaping and coordinating a diverse portfolio of change, helping to build a culture of structured delivery, good governance and continuous improvement across the organisation.
You’ll bring strong project management experience and a solid understanding of PMO methods, governance and structured delivery. You’re comfortable managing multiple projects at once, keeping plans up to date, coordinating work across teams and maintaining clear oversight of risks, issues and dependencies.
You communicate clearly and confidently, providing concise updates to a range of audiences and supporting informed decision‑making by presenting options, impacts and trade‑offs. You work well with colleagues at all levels, from operational teams to senior leaders, and you’re able to maintain delivery momentum without direct line‑management authority.
You’re organised, detail‑focused and calm under pressure, with a strong commitment to accurate reporting, structured governance and disciplined project control. Experience with systems implementation, digital transformation or service improvement projects is highly valued, as is experience supporting testing, readiness and go‑live activity. Knowledge of the housing sector is helpful but not essential – what matters most is your ability to coordinate complex delivery, strengthen project discipline and support a maturing change portfolio.
