The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.
We are looking for an Assistant Electrical Qualifying Supervisor. This is a succession role, and the successful candidate will be expected to step into the Electrical Qualifying Supervisor position over the next 12–18 months as part of the planned transition.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Head of Repairs and support the current Electrical Qualifying Supervisor.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical supervision for a small team of electricians, including oversight of subcontractors.
- Act as supervisor two days a week (Monday and Friday).
- Carry out EICRs and domestic repairs in empty properties to prepare them for re‑let on the remaining three days.
- Lead the team in delivering electrical repairs and cyclical compliance (EICR) across all domestic and commercial properties.
- Ensure all legislative requirements are met, value for money is achieved, and high‑quality installation, maintenance and repairs are delivered for both our properties and external customers.
- Provide technical and operational support to the team, ensuring Housing Solutions meets landlord responsibilities.
- Maintain company EICR registration and NICEIC membership.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- City & Guilds Levels 2 and 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
- Proven experience in electrical installations, testing, inspection and certification
- Experience supervising or managing electricians and subcontractors
Additional requirements:
- Good level of administrative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Self‑motivation
- Time‑management
- Flexibility to participate in out of hours duty rota
- A full UK driving licence
