We are looking for the right person to support frontline housing and homelessness practitioners to ensure they have access to accurate, up-to-date, and accessible information that strengthens and informs their advice work. This is an excellent opportunity to combine content creation, knowledge development, and frontline advice work to make a real impact on housing outcomes across Northern Ireland.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, and maintenance of professional resources and information to meet the needs of practitioners across the sector. You will do this by working with colleagues across the organisation to create engaging and relevant content, including articles, social media posts, and professional website content.
About you
You will bring:
- a good standard of education including literacy and numeracy
- experience in writing, designing, editing and preparation of content in at least two of the following areas: articles for a public facing website; information resources, for example, guides, information booklets; draft legislative responses; press or journal articles;
- other experience of representing an organisation to a range of audiences including the public
- demonstrated experience in the preparation, organisation and facilitation of meetings and group discussion
- a good understanding of social justice issues and government policies relevant to vulnerable and disadvantaged groups
You:
- are self-motivated with a passion for affecting positive change on behalf of vulnerable people
- have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- have demonstrated ability to: work on own initiative and as part of a team; plan work and meet deadlines; motivate others and share learning; handle conflicting work pressures and deadlines; maintain information materials
- have commitment to a high standard of work and professional conduct
