We’re responsible for making sure the properties are re-let in a timely manner, working with our in-house Trades and also closely with sub-contractors ensuring Empty Homes are returned to new customers with all maintenance work and repairs carried out safely, and to the highest standard. We work alongside housing and lettings teams, and new residents to make sure everything runs smoothly turning an empty home into a warm, welcoming home.
Your new role: Are you pro-active, highly motivated, professional and friendly? We’re looking for two Multi Skilled Operatives to join our Empty Homes team where you’ll be completing a wide variety of trades tasks to a high standard with an emphasis on delivering an efficient repairs service to Abri customers. You’ll be working across Ascot, Windsor, Reading and Slough, and the surrounding areas.
Working as a great team player, you’ll be carrying out work and installations to Abri’s properties in an efficient and effective manner ensuring that all works are in accordance with good building maintenance practice. You’ll be a good communicator, have an achievement-based approach to your work and be motivated. A City & Guilds or NVQ qualification relating to the above trade skills and previous experience is required.
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so it’s very important your customer service skills are top notch – we want to always go above and beyond and amaze our customers with the services we provide.
We’ll provide you with your uniform, a van including fuel card, van vault, racking and inverter, company tablet & mobile as well as the PPE you need to let you crack on with what you do best. You’ll be expected to supply your own hand tools and power tools. You’ll be required to cover Out of Hours Callouts on a rota basis so a clean driving license is a must!
In this role, you’ll be an ambassador for the organisation by using your ‘can do’ attitude to provide a high-quality, ‘right first time’ service to our customers all while being the friendly face of Abri.
