About the role: To assist with the delivery of basic repairs and housekeeping services and provide support with the delivery of the grounds maintenance service and provide other general assistance as instructed.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake collection/delivery of materials, plant & equipment from suppliers to sites
- Undertake collection/delivery of materials, in support of operatives
- Unload, store and stack materials that are delivered to sites
- Ensure all associated documentation is effectively and efficiently completed and accounted for
- Keep the work area tidy during and after the job
- Keep to and update schedules that document what needs to be completed, the order of tasks, and detail how many hours have been worked
- Carry out general labouring duties including, but not limited to, small works, building fabric repairs and general building maintenance tasks
- Use hand power tools for building fabric repairs and small works
- Carry out labouring duties in support of cleaning services across sheltered and general needs housing
- Report any additional items or defects encountered during day-to-day work to the appropriate person(s)
- Undertake general grounds maintenance and gardening duties, including: Grass cutting, gutter cleaning, domestic painting, gulley cleaning, fencing, slab repair, hedge trimming, flower bed maintenance, weeding, fertilising plants and grass, and keeping sites clean and free of litter

This post requires the post-holder to carry out duties of a physical nature other than light lifting. These could include one or more of the following: working at heights and lone working.
