Salary: £29,247.73 per annum

Location: Beechwood, May Place, Newcastle Under-Lyme ST5 0SL

Hours: 07:30am to 15:30pm covering a 7 day rota

If you have excellent people skills, hold a NVQ Level 3 in Catering and looking to work as part of a fantastic team, look no further. Beechwood is a ShireLiving Extra Care service that provides homes for people over 55 years old, who need safety, security and reassurance with a range of care options available to meet their individual needs.

What will you be doing?

  • Preparing quality food
  • Managing kitchen operations
  • Tracking inventory
  • Ordering supplies
  • Cleaning and organising the food preparation area
  • Training new kitchen employees on standards and regulations
  • Have a friendly approach towards visitors and residents
  • Monitoring the kitchen area to ensure sanitation standards are maintained.

About you:

  • You will be someone who has the ability to create great food, that is well presented, full of flavour, balanced and nutritional
  • You will have experience of ordering supplies and carrying out stock takes
  • You will be someone who would embrace processes and procedures along with adding in a good measure of your creativity
  • You will be open to new ideas and thinking out of the box
