The Housing Learning and Improvement Network (Housing LIN) is a network of more than 15,000 housing, health and social care professionals across England, Wales and Scotland. Through our knowledge hub, events and learning network, we connect people, share evidence and promote innovation across the sector. Our consultancy and research team works with local authorities, housing providers and other organisations to develop evidence, strategies and practical solutions that improve housing, care and support. Our mission is to connect people, ideas and evidence to improve housing, health and care outcomes, supporting the development of better homes, services and communities that enable people to live well, age well and remain independent.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Research and Insight Officer to join our consultancy and research team. The postholder will support the delivery of consultancy, research and advisory projects across housing, health and social care, with a particular focus on older people’s housing and supported housing. The role combines project coordination, research and analysis, stakeholder engagement and report writing. You will contribute to supported housing needs assessments, strategies and service reviews, coordinate project plans and timelines, undertake evidence and policy reviews, analyse qualitative and quantitative information, and help produce clear reports, recommendations and presentations. You will also help plan and facilitate workshops, focus groups and consultation activity, ensuring that the views of people with lived experience and professional stakeholders inform project findings and recommendations. The role involves working closely with colleagues, clients and external associates, while contributing to tender submissions, proposals and wider Housing LIN learning and influencing activity.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based at our Redfield, Bristol office for at least three days each week, with opportunities for home working and occasional national travel.
Salary: From £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

About you
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Three to five years’ relevant experience in housing, health and/or social care
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Strong report writing and the ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Experience of coordinating projects and managing competing deadlines
- Confidence in facilitating workshops, focus groups or stakeholder engagement
- Experience of carrying out literature, evidence or policy reviews
- Knowledge of older people’s housing, supported housing or local government processes
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively across several projects
- Experience of consultancy or advisory work, preparing tenders or proposals, participatory engagement, and using Excel and/or Power BI would be an advantage.
