This is an exciting opportunity for an ICT Applications Team Lead to join our ICT Service Delivery team and continue developing both their IT and management career within a business that values flexibility and offers home working. You’ll play a key role in leading and evolving our Application Support Specialists, working alongside a wider Service Delivery team recently shortlisted for an Outstanding Team Award at this year's Colleague Awards! We're looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering a first-class ICT support service and is committed to ensuring customer excellence across everything we do.

Working Week

This is a home-based role, ideal for someone living in the Northwest and within reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington. While most of your work will be remote, you’ll be expected to attend meetings, training sessions, and carry out ICT management duties at Head Office as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ICT Application Support Specialists in delivering an effective and efficient ICT support function, focusing on measuring outputs and driving continuous improvements in service delivery.
  • Bring an in-depth technical understanding of application support and maintenance along with a broad understanding of the wider IT disciplines (infrastructure servers, networking, data storage, Project Management, ITIL etc) and how these functions come together to achieve a common goal.
  • Proven experience leading an Application Support Specialist team within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Be a strong, customer-focused leader who drives performance, embraces Agile and DevOps ways of working, and confidently manages competing priorities.
  • Take a proactive approach to mentoring and developing your team, with the confidence to lead change and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels are essential, alongside a practical mindset that seeks to streamline processes and maximise the effectiveness of the business application team.

  • Solid technical knowledge across enterprise applications, integrations, and cloud platforms, with the ability to deliver change and continuously improve service outcomes across the business.

Compensation & Benefits

In return we offer £45,000 - £49,000 for a 35‑hour week, and 25 days annual leave (holidays also increase with time served) plus Bank Holidays.
