This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional, passionate about supporting older people, to take the lead in the day to day running of YHG's Hollymere Retirement Living Scheme, in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. As the Scheme Manager, you will provide support, advice, and signposting to all customers, be responsible for all premises and staff management, including consulting with external partners providing services to the scheme, and for promoting a friendly, vibrant community enabling customers to have choices and live independently!
What will my working week look like? You will be based at Hollymere Retirement Living Scheme, working 35 hours per week on Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm. What will I be responsible for doing? One of the wonderful things about this role is the variety, no two days will be the same! You and your team will be involved in a range of housing management services including marketing, lettings, dealing with low level ASB, rent queries and facilities management. Customer support is key to this role, and you will also oversee use of the scheme for social activities, provide wellbeing support and manage any external partners to the scheme enabling customers to live independently and be provided with an excellent service. Along with the day-to-day management of your team who support in providing all housing and related services, to ensure customer’s needs are always met, you will also be responsible for Health and Safety on scheme (including fire tests and supporting our customers to stay safe) ensuring regular checks are completed and documented appropriately and in line with Group policy.

Experience of managing Older People's services, retirement living or over 55s Housing schemes
In-depth knowledge of the services on offer to these customers through experience within Housing management or other relevant Housing sector experience.
Collaborative team player with a customer first mentality
Excellent communicator, with experience of partnership working
Resilient and adaptable, able to prioritise a busy and reactive workload
Experience of health and safety within a communal environment
This role is really suited to someone who likes to interact with customers and deliver a people centric service, particularly to older people, who can manage a wide range of situations with empathy, sensitivity and diplomacy.
