Reporting to the Assistant Regional Manager, you will be responsible for completing block inspections on your allocated patch within Liverpool, Halton & Sefton. These inspections ensure that customers' safety is always kept paramount by reporting repair issues, removing hazards and following our Clear Landings Policy. Good record keeping of inspections is essential alongside the use of our Housing Management System to ensure inspections are 100% compliant each month. You will also work with the Housing Management team and other internal stakeholders to complete Fire Risk Assessment Actions and Annual Gas Safety checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out block inspections, including fire alarm testing and emergency lighting testing.
- Take corrective actions from Fire Risk Assessments.
- Conduct site visits relating to gas compliance.
- Recommend improvements using our annual Compliance & Facilities Budget.
- Ensure 100% compliance with Health & Safety regulations in communal areas, arranging for removal of hazards and reporting repairs.
- Utilise the Housing Management System for accurate and compliant record keeping.
- Use excellent communication skills to take ownership of, and where appropriate, elevate customer queries.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full UK driving licence.
- Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Experience of lone working in a similar role (ideal).
- Good ICT skills to use mobile devices essential to carry out duties.
- Collaborative team player, flexible with the ability to change your working day to meet business needs, and professional and able to interact positively with customers.
- You will live within 20 miles of Merseyside and within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses.
What we offer
In return we offer £25,000 – £26,184 for a 35‑hour week, and 25 days annual leave (holidays also increase with time served) plus Bank Holidays.
