Housing for Women is a registered charity and independent housing association. We champion female empowerment by providing and promoting affordable homes for women and gender-specific support services. We are now looking for an HR Co-ordinator to join us on a fixed-term, 9-month contract, working 21 hours per week.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented administrator to join our values-driven organisation, supporting a dedicated HR team that makes a real difference in women’s lives. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll and employee relations, all while developing your skills in a supportive and inclusive workplace.
The Role
As an HR Co-ordinator, you will provide administrative support to our Human Resources function, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes across the organisation. Specifically, you will maintain HR records and systems, process key documentation, and assist with employee relations, payroll, and recruitment activities. You’ll also play a crucial role in monitoring staff records, supporting managers with key HR processes, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. Additionally, you will:
- Process staff documentation, including right-to-work checks, DBS checks, and contracts
- Monitor and record staff absence, probation reviews, and 1:1 meetings
- Support recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews and onboarding new hires
- Assist with training co-ordination and employee development initiatives
About You
To be considered as an HR Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Office administration experience
- Experience handling sensitive employee information
- Knowledge of HR processes and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with payroll processing and employment regulation
- An understanding of customer service and diversity awareness
- A Certificate in Personnel Practice or willingness to work towards it
