About the Manbassador Project

The Manbassador project is a two-year initiative designed to improve men’s mental health and wellbeing across Stockport. By normalising conversations about mental health, reducing loneliness and connecting men aged 18+ with local support networks, we aim to create a stronger, healthier community. A key part of the project is developing a network of Manbassadors—local men, community groups and businesses who champion wellbeing, spot early signs of need and help others access support.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with individuals, groups, local businesses and partners to build relationships, raise awareness and support men to access the help they need. You’ll be the first point of contact for enquiries, help gather data to demonstrate impact, and support the Team Leader and Head of Service to deliver key outcomes. You’ll also help design creative, practical approaches to engage men in conversations about mental health and wellbeing. This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same.

  • Supporting individuals and groups to build skills, confidence and connections
  • Being the first point of contact for enquiries and signposting to relevant services
  • Building strong partnerships with community groups, businesses and colleagues
  • Helping to develop and grow the Manbassador network
  • Maintaining accurate engagement records and supporting reporting
  • Identifying and escalating safeguarding concerns appropriately
  • Contributing to the delivery of key performance indicators
  • Bringing energy, empathy and creativity to every interaction

About You
