Do you love helping people and solving problems? Are you confident on the phone and great with IT?
If that sounds like you, this could be the perfect role. You’ll be part of a busy, friendly team where every day you make a real difference—helping customers navigate the ever-changing benefits system as a Money Advice Assistant.
Why you’ll love working with us
- A role that really matters – you’ll be helping people stay in their homes and manage their finances.
- Hybrid working– while there’s scope to work from home and adjust your hours when needed, this is a customer-facing role, so most of your time will be spent in our welcoming offices, working alongside colleagues and meeting tenants face to face.
- Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5pm – no evenings or weekends, giving you a great work-life balance. Plus, our Maximising Our Potential approach means you’ll have flexibility for life’s important moments—whether that’s a medical appointment, a school event, or other personal commitments.
- A supportive team and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
What you’ll be doing
- Helping customers claim the support they’re entitled to for housing costs and understand their payment commitments.
- Giving basic money advice and guidance on benefits.
- Working closely with the Lettings team during sign-ups, focusing on financial wellbeing.
- Handling calls and managing cases using IT systems.
- Delivering accurate, customer-focused service that helps sustain tenancies.
What we’re looking for
- Ideally, knowledge of Universal Credit and the benefits system.
- Strong IT skills
- Confident telephone communication and excellent customer service.
- Ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure in a busy team.
- Experience managing a demanding workload and meeting deadlines.
If this sounds like you, don’t just tell us you have these skills show us how you’ve used them. You’re more likely to be shortlisted if your application gives clear examples of how your experience meets the role requirements.
You are welcome to use AI tools to assist in writing your application. However, please ensure the bulk of the application is in your own words. We want to hear from you directly and will score applications based on your unique, personal examples.
