An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Furniture Projects Team. We provide access to affordable furniture for households in need. We are committed to excellent customer service and making a positive impact in our community.

Role Overview

As a Furniture Projects Assistant, you will co‑coordinate, deliver and monitor our furniture offer, including furnished tenancies and recycling services. You will work closely with colleagues, external agencies and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of furniture, maintaining accurate records and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the day‑to‑day running of projects in Stockport.
  • Collect, clean, test, and store furniture donations before delivery to households in need.
  • Load and unload heavy household goods, using lifting equipment as required.
  • Repair furniture when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries and repairs.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to vulnerable households.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment, passion and enthusiasm for excellent customer service.
  • Ability to carry heavy items and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Successful basic clearance by the Disclosure and Baring Service.
  • Experience in furniture projects or similar roles is desirable but not essential.
