Procurement & Contracts Officer


37 Hours Per Week


Circa £35,000 per annum


We are looking for an experienced, professionally qualified, Procurement & Contracts Officer to join us in a newly created, standalone role. You will be responsible for co-ordinating the procurement and contract administration function across the business, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you will provide expert knowledge and guidance, supporting on the procurement process for goods, services and works. You will manage and maintain the contracts register, ensuring effective management practices are in place, as well as managing the E-Procurement system.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Proven experience and up to date knowledge in procurement within a non-profit, public sector, or similarly highly regulated environment.

  • Level 4 Chartered Institute of Procurement Supply (CIPS) or equivalent experience

  • A fundamental understanding of procurement frameworks

  • Experience using digital solutions, such as e-procurement tools.

  • Be data driven, with strong IT skills, including Excel

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure effectively, multi-task and prioritise conflicting demands.

  • Experience of managing tendering process

  • Demonstrable experience of monitoring contracts at all levels and supporting contract managers.
