About the Role: As our People Assistant, you’ll deliver comprehensive administrative support across the People function, acting as the first point of contact for colleagues, managers, and external contacts. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our people data, supporting business decisions, and promoting our employer brand.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing general administrative support and ensuring data accuracy in all People Team systems.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, induction, and the full employee lifecycle - including DBS checks and file management.
  • Assisting with payroll administration, personal development reviews, and contract variations.
  • Responding to routine people queries and escalating technical issues as needed.
  • Producing reports on people metrics and supporting compliance with employment law and organisational procedures.
  • Promoting Plus Dane’s values and collaborating across the team to deliver impactful activities.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Educated to GCSE/NVQ level or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR administrative role.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Good understanding of employment legislation.
  • Familiarity with HR or payroll systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

What you’ll get in return: This is a fixed term contract role up to 12 months working 35 hours per week. Your main base will be our Albert Dock office in Liverpool. You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. This includes a 3-day Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year and you have the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually. You’ll also benefit from a company pension scheme where we contribute 9%, and colleagues can contribute anything from 3% upwards.
