Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Finance Officer – Rent and Property to join our Finance – Rent and Property team.

This will be fixed term until April 2026 and you\’ll be based from our offices in Basingstoke with plenty of flexibility to combine remote working.

The staring salary is £26,300 – £32,000 depending on experience.

The Role

Our Finance – Rent and Property team provides a professional service, giving guidance and management support in optimising cost effectiveness across the business.

Our Finance Officers play a vital role in delivering financial housing support services to a large stakeholder base within SNG.

Responsibilities Include

  • Adding New Development, Shared Ownership and Market Rented properties onto the housing system/database in a timely and accurate manner
  • Updating housing systems with any rent or service charge adjustments
  • Handling queries via various channels from stakeholders, residents and other internal departments and ensuring resolutions
  • Liaising with Local Authorities in advising current Rent related charges

What we\’re looking for

You should have experience in a similar role or environment, carrying out asset and finance data inputs or updates, although experience in housing isn\’t essential.

You\’ll Need

  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy when handling data
  • Strong IT skills, experienced in using a variety of databases
  • A logical and organised approach to your workload
  • Excellent communication skills
  • To be an effective collaborator, working well with others to deliver tasks
