Salary: £26,268.09 per annum

Hours: 38 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 3-week rolling rota ranging from 7 am starts to 10 pm finishes, including weekends and bank holidays.

About the Role

As a Shift Leader at Rosebank Park you will play a vital role in our community. Your responsibilities will be varied and meaningful: you’ll support and guide colleagues, monitor standards, mentor new team members, complete audits, troubleshoot minor IT issues, manage medication safely, and genuinely care about every person in the building. You will also support the team with effective shift planning and rota management, lead by example in delivering high-quality service, act as a champion for both customers and colleagues, liaise with GPs and social workers, oversee staff competencies related to medication, manage medication ordering and collection, and review daily medication administration records.

Training and Development

There is a significant amount of training involved. You will complete over 20 refresher courses each year and will be supported if you wish to pursue formal qualifications or progress your career through the Orwell Academy.

Person Specification

  • Level 2 in Health and Social Care or above
  • Supervisory qualification or commitment to achieve one within 18–24 months

Rosebank Park is a modern Extra Care service located in Harwich, a historic coastal town in north-east Essex. The service is within easy reach of local amenities including shops, cafés, leisure facilities and the town centre. Parking is available onsite and the area offers excellent transport connections with regular local bus services along Main Road to Dovercourt, Parkeston and surrounding areas.
