Compliance Manager (Gas & Electrical)
Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Gas & Electrical Compliance Team so that all gas safety and electrical inspections, testing, servicing and remedial works are completed promptly, efficiently and to required standards.
- Serve as subject matter expert for legislation and technical standards relating to gas safety – Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations, BS7671 wiring regulations and other relevant statutory and industry guidance; ensure systems and staff practice reflect current legal obligations.
- Lead procurement, negotiation and contract management of contractors and suppliers for gas and electrical compliance works, ensuring contracts and SLAs clearly reflect legislative, safety, quality and performance requirements.
- Manage the property access process for gas and electrical compliance activities, ensuring all reasonable steps are taken to gain access, and where necessary, initiate and progress appropriate legal action (including warrant applications) to meet statutory obligations.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong contract management skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders; strategic approach to managing contracts while supporting collaboration and trust across internal and external partners.
- Current or previous Core Domestic Gas Safety certification and/or Level 3 electrotechnical qualification, or substantial relevant professional experience.
- Strong organisational, prioritisation, communication, ICT and presentation skills.
- People management experience to foster excellent working relationships and promote the best in the team.
