An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Community Safeguarding team for a Community Safety Advisor.

TheCommunity Safety Advisor will be operational lead for complex and legal casework; deploying available tools, powers and resources to prevent and resolve anti-social behaviour and tenancy fraud. The postholder willlead oninvestigations into anti-social behaviour and tenancy fraud. They will also be operational lead for multi-agency relationships.

  • Act as first and main contact for residents and their representatives, ensuring responses resolve issues in an effective and timely manner
  • Capture, monitor, and report evidence that can be relied on in Court
  • Carry out home and off-site visits
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with statutory and third-sector agencies
  • Interview those accused of anti-social behaviour, including sitting-in on under-caution interviews by the Police and Local Authorities
  • Lead on effective and compliant information management, including statutory data and information sharing protocols
  • Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory, statutory, best practice and legal precedent
  • Maintain an effective system of risk management
  • Represent Poplar HARCA at case conferences, consultation meetings, resident meetings and governance forums
  • Work out of office hours, including estate patrols

Due to the nature of this post, employment in this role is dependent on a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
