About the Role

As Community Investment Team Manager you will lead and support the team to deliver high‑quality, outcome‑focused services. Your work will focus on driving continuous improvement, fostering a positive and lasting impact for customers and communities, and ensuring that all initiatives align with the organisation’s mission of providing Strong Foundations for Life.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Community Investment Team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Develop and implement community investment programmes, building strong relationships with partners, stakeholders and community members.
  • Monitor and report on programme outcomes, ensuring measurable social impact and alignment with organisational strategy.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, providing coaching and mentorship to team members.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for external collaborators, ensuring effective partnership and communication.

You are an approachable, supportive leader who brings out the best in others. With strong people‑management and coaching skills, you enjoy developing your team, building confidence, and creating an environment where colleagues can thrive. You are flexible, positive, and able to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on delivering great outcomes. You are also committed to your own development and eager to engage in the LEAD Management training programme. You have a solid understanding of community investment and a genuine passion for making a difference to customers and communities. You are a strong relationship builder, working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

Benefits

  • Salary: £43,315 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2,405 per annum.
  • Location: Stanley or Gosforth (with regular travel required).
  • Flexible working – 37 hours per week with agile arrangements.
  • 26 days annual leave (increasing to 31 days after 3 years).
