Salary: £35,850 (London) / £32,109 (National) per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Fixed-term (maternity cover until August 2027)

Office locations: London or Bristol

Two days of in‑person working per week on average, with flexible working arrangements available.

About the National Housing Federation (NHF): NHF is the voice of housing associations in England, representing almost 600 associations that provide 2.6 million homes to around six million people.

Key elements of the role:

  • Craft messages on our vital work, from ending homelessness to building safety.
  • Own project areas, creating and implementing communications plans and strategies.
  • Manage newsletters and website content for your projects.
  • Write complex information in a way that members can understand.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience developing and implementing communication plans to support projects and campaigns.
  • Be able to devise and deliver content and communication plans.
  • Have excellent writing and copywriting skills.
  • Advise colleagues on how to communicate effectively with target audiences.
  • Summarise complex information into clear, coherent messages for different audiences.
  • Measure communication impact and evaluate reach.
