Are you a driven professional seeking to make an impact in Finance? This role is part of the finance department and the financial reporting team, reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager and the Head of Financial Reporting. The role forms a key relationship between the Director and Heads of Service in providing financial and performance information along with your team. A key element of this is setting the annual budget for the operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly management accounts, performance reports, and support budget setting, ensuring strong financial control and accurate reporting.
- Maintain key financial processes including fixed asset registers, audit support, and compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and company policies.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, managing workloads, driving efficiency, and ensuring delivery of deadlines across finance functions.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders, providing expert financial advice while keeping up to date with legislation and delivering training where needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5 GCSE’s Grades A-C (including Maths and English), or equivalent.
- AAT qualification or part CCAB qualification or working towards within 12 months.
- Experience within an accounting environment preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
- Over 3-year experience of producing management accounts to the timetable with variance analysis.
- Experience of staff supervision (desirable).
