As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of services for our tenants and contribute to the development of the services we provide to the wider community. In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for the overall strategic direction of the organisation, as well as providing oversight of financial management and corporate governance.

LHA provides good-quality affordable homes for people in housing need and currently manages over 900 properties across Lanarkshire. Supporting people to achieve a better future is at the heart of everything we do and we deliver this in partnership with Local Authorities, the Scottish Government, our tenants, customers, and other key stakeholders.

We are award winning having recently won the Share award as Digital Learning Organisation of the Year, and were shortlisted for Share’s Governing Body of the Year Award offering you the opportunity to contribute to a high performing and recognised team.

We have launched a new 5 Year Strategic Plan for 2026-2031 which is being implemented through the Management Committee. We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals who are passionate about improving communities to join our Management Committee as we enter this next phase.

Applications are open to all, and we are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We ask that applicants clearly outline the skills, knowledge and experience they can bring to make a positive contribution to the work of the Association. We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience in housing, property maintenance, finance, law, or corporate governance, as well as from tenants and community champions.

You will be expected to prepare for, attend and actively contribute to a minimum of six evening Management Committee Meetings per year, as well as take part in training sessions and participate in additional Sub Committees. Training and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed in the role and reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be re-imbursed.
