Working Pattern: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday –Permanent

Location: Can be based in any of our offices across Argyll & Bute and includes hybrid working

Are you passionate about property compliance and making a real difference to communities? Do you enjoy using data and insight to shape investment decisions, improve services and ensure homes remain safe and compliant?

We’re looking for a Compliance Manager to join our Property Services team and play a key role in protecting and enhancing our housing assets while ensuring we meet the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.

About the Role

As Compliance Manager, you’ll help shape the future of our housing stock, ensuring our homes are safe, well maintained and fully compliant while supporting investment decisions that will benefit customers for years to come. You’ll combine strategic thinking with practical delivery, using data, insight and expertise to influence how we manage and improve our properties.

You’ll take the lead on key compliance areas including asbestos, legionella and specialist servicing contracts, while driving continuous improvement and helping us deliver excellent services to our customers. Working with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll provide expert advice, manage a dedicated team and ensure we continue to meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

About You

You’ll be an experienced compliance, building safety or asset management professional with a strong understanding of housing compliance, excellent analytical skills and a passion for delivering high-quality services.

You should be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and hold a management qualification or be willing to work towards SCQF Level 7 or CMI Level 5. A qualification in building or property management would be advantageous, along with membership of a relevant professional body and recognised health and safety training such as IOSH, RoSPA or SMSTS.

You’ll also bring:

  • Significant experience in property compliance, building safety or asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of housing compliance and health & safety legislation.
  • Experience managing contracts, budgets and performance information.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver great results.
