Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and dynamic leadership and direction to the Senior Management and Staff Team, ensuring that corporate goals and values are effectively communicated and delivered within an ethos of continuous improvement and customer excellence.
- Direct proactively and manage the work of Dunbritton Housing Association (DHA) to ensure provision of high-quality homes and services which are best in sector.
- Prepare, develop and sustain the growing role of the organisation, in regenerating and sustaining local communities, establishing and developing partnership working and building strong and effective relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ensure that DHA carries out its operations in accordance with the business plan and policies established by the Board, meets the requirements of the Scottish Housing Regulator, Companies House, OSCR and all other legal duties such as GDPR and FOI.
- Provide overall leadership to staff and contribute to the development of a flexible and motivated staff, a culture of continuous improvement, all underpinned by a Human Resources strategy which assists the staff to meet the organisation’s goals.
- Advise the Board on key management, housing, social, economic, political and operational factors and assist the Board to develop and maintain DHA’s strategies, policies and services.
Key Qualifications
- A strong leader with high standards of integrity and fairness with proven achievements in motivating and empowering people.
- Successful track record of effective partnership working and networking at the highest levels, with key stakeholders, including regulators, central government, local government, communities and commercial businesses.
- A consistent track record of achievement in a senior executive position within a successful, customer-focused, social housing provider.
- Experience of leading effective change programmes with employee, customer and stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
- A track record of building and managing effective relationships with Boards, customers, staff, partners and stakeholders.
- Experience of identifying, assessing and progressing strategic opportunities to facilitate growth.
- Experience of leading the preparation, promotion and implementation of business plans and other planning documents.
- Relevant experience of budget management and an appreciation of the opportunities and risks associated with property, asset management and investment.
- Experience and a good understanding of corporate finance, accounting, performance management, risk, internal and external audit – including strategic financial management in the housing sector.
- Relevant knowledge of ICT systems, and experience of championing the use of new technology to develop innovative systems and services.
- Degree or relevant professional qualification, or equivalent through relevant experience.
- Current membership of related professional body.
