Blackwood are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Housing Services team and play an important role in ensuring our customers live in safe, well-maintained homes. You’ll take day-to-day responsibility for monitoring allocated landlord health and safety compliance programmes, making sure actions are progressed, records are accurate and potential risks are identified and escalated.

You’ll monitor compliance activity across key areas including gas, electrical safety, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene and legionella, lifting equipment, damp and mould, and other landlord compliance requirements. You’ll work closely with contractors, colleagues and customers to ensure inspections, servicing, certificates and follow-up actions are completed on time.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, methodical and proactive, with the confidence to take ownership of allocated work and see things through to completion. A CIH Level 3 qualification, or equivalent relevant property management/maintenance experience, is essential.

You’ll have the flexibility of our hybrid working model, with two days a week in the office, alongside virtual and in-person collaboration. Occasional travel to offices and developments across Scotland will be required.
