The role

We are currently looking to recruit a Hospitality Assistant to join our team here at Housing 21. Key accountabilities include:

  • Work with catering team to take orders and serve customers food and drinks in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Keep facilities clean and presentable.
  • Provide excellent customer service. Seek feedback from users and contribute to suggestions for future improvements.
  • Promote residents’ engagement and use of facilities at the village, including hard to reach residents.
  • Monitor and report any problems to Facilities lead.
  • Process payments accurately and ensure accurate records are kept.

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements for the role include:

  • A good knowledge of older people and the issues pertaining to them.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
  • Experience in managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults (desirable).
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment.
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (desirable).
  • Willingness to work towards Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (if not held).
