Overview
Shift Pattern: 25 hours per week Handyperson/Gardener and 10 hours per week Cleaning communal areas. This is a joint post as a Handyperson/Gardener and Cleaner. We are currently looking to recruit someone on a joint post as a Handyperson/Gardner and Cleaner.
Responsibilities
- Handyperson: ensure all residents receive a high quality, responsive and proactive handyperson service, including the completion of minor and non-urgent maintenance and repair tasks in the apartments and the internal and external communal spaces of the scheme.
- Cleaner: help provide residents with a clean and safe space, ensuring the public/communal areas within the Court are kept clean and tidy. Provide support to the manager with cleaning and preparing void flats as required.
Salary and Working Hours
Shift pattern: 25 hours per week as Handyperson/Gardener and 10 hours per week Cleaning communal areas. This is a joint post.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience of working within the building trade or part of a handyperson service (preferred).
- Experience of using power tools and sharp equipment.
- Able to complete basic tasks in carpentry, plumbing, electrics and decorating.
- Can identify when a repair needs to be completed before it presents a danger or potentially incurs higher repair costs if not addressed immediately.
- Relevant and proven work experience within the building trade or part of a handyperson service.
