This role is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.

About the Role

We are currently looking to recruit a People Services Assistant to join our People Services team at Housing 21. Within the role you will provide a people‑focused service to the business on a wide range of People Services processes, including the resolution of 1st level employee relations and transactional queries, in accordance with established policies, processes and procedures, and change management support. You will enable managers to carry out their people‑management role effectively by providing initial advice on policy and process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve 1st level employee relations and transactional queries.
  • Provide initial advice on policy and process to managers.
  • Support change‑management initiatives within the organization.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in a high‑volume environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in an HR role with knowledge of HR processes and policies covering a variety of HR activities (including change management, advice, guidance).
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be a team player who values contributing to others and the business.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the needs of customers and the business.
  • Experience working with an HR system.
  • Good knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection legislation.
  • Educated to GCSE Grade C (Level 4) or above or equivalent experience.
  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience of working in an HR environment.
