We are seeking a Digital Engineering Technician Apprentice to join the Technical Assurance & Design Management Team. An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Digital Engineering Technician Apprentice to join our Technical Assurance & Design Management Team on the Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal (R&R) Programme – the largest and most complex renovation of a UNESCO World Heritage building ever undertaken. This once‑in‑a‑lifetime project will preserve the Palace of Westminster for future generations and offers a unique and exciting environment in which to begin a career in digital construction.
You will work as part of the Digital Design Team to gain an in‑depth understanding of BIM principles, standards and information requirements as well as learning how to use a range of 3D and 2D modelling and data‑management software tools and platforms (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, ACC). This will allow you to successfully contribute to tasks such as:
- The review and coordination of building information from survey contractors and design partners
- The integration of building information into the BIM Environment (digital 3D models and linked databases)
- The production of consistent digital deliverables for use across the wider project team
The apprenticeship is designed to develop your skills from the ground up. We are not seeking prior experience—just enthusiasm, curiosity, and the drive to learn. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and managed by the BIM Technical Manager with regular training and on‑the‑job learning.
