We are recruiting a Heritage Project Coordinator (Conservation and Heritage Collections) on an initial one-year fixed term contract to work within the Heritage & Collections team. This role is ideal for a Conservator or an experienced collections care professional who can ensure the care and safeguarding of Parliament’s heritage assets.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure the care and safeguarding of Parliament’s heritage assets through the R&R Programme.
  • Support planning and delivery of survey projects, including a heritage vibration baseline survey and surveys to establish specialist recommendations for the decant or protection of heritage collections.
  • Manage and record survey information, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Work on-site within the Parliamentary Estate, primarily during Parliamentary recess periods.
  • Collaborate with a wide stakeholder base and industry bodies to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Conservator or collections care professional.
  • Proven experience working with a diverse stakeholder base and industry bodies.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Salary Circa £45,000 per annum.

Security

Successful candidates must complete a security vetting to a minimum Counter-Terrorist Check (CTC) level, obtained through the Parliamentary Security Department (PSD). Prospective employees may be ineligible for vetting if they have resided outside of the UK for more than three of the last five years.
