Housekeeping Club is a well-established local cleaning company providing top-quality cleaning services across Cumbria and North Lancashire. Due to continued growth and an expanding client base, we are looking to build a list of reliable, hardworking cleaners to provide casual cover when required. This role will involve covering:
- Busy periods
- Staff holidays
- Last-minute sickness or emergency cover
There is no guarantee of regular hours; however, as the business continues to grow, there may be the opportunity for this role to develop into a more permanent position for the right candidate. You may be required to work across a variety of sites, including:
- Holiday parks and holiday lets
- Schools
- Offices
- Other commercial premises
Please note: This is not a permanent role.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, washrooms, and communal areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards
- Disinfect high-touch areas regularly to promote hygiene and safety
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and cleaning materials as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning routines when required
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within designated timeframes
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, with some roles requiring early mornings or late shifts depending on client needs
- DBS check preferred but not essential
- Driver with own vehicle preferred but not essential
