The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Senior/ Legal Counsel to join our busy and impactful Legal team. This role offers a diverse and challenging workload, providing the opportunity to work on a broad range of legal matters and collaborate closely with various business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Contracts: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to supplier agreements, partnership/reseller agreements and customer contracts. Taking ownership of key legal agreements and projects
- Digital and Tech related matters: Advising on digital and tech related matters including SAAS and AI
- Stakeholder Management: Building strong relationships and providing clear, practical legal advice to internal stakeholders across different functions
- M&A: assisting on M&A and investment matter
About You:
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction)
- Experience in house in a scale up/fast growing SAAS business
- Strong experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts with a technology focus
- In depth knowledge of the application of Data Protection Law in the UK
- Experience in M&A
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- A proactive and collaborative team player
