About The Role
As the Head of Product for Mortgage Lenders at Hometrack, you will play a pivotal role in the development and improvement of our proposition to the mortgage industry. Our products play a critical role helping to speed-up and improve decision making, ultimately enabling consumers to access mortgage finance and move home with certainty, quickly.
You will own the profitability of our products by improving existing products through growing market share, introducing new chargeable features, and reducing costs to deliver. Additionally, you will be responsible for bringing brand-new products to market and ensuring our products are accessible to a diverse range of clients, including large and small mortgage lenders.
Responsibilities

  • End-to-end product management: Ensure product teams have clear goals and are tracking towards delivery and customer success, following an Agile framework. Take personal ownership of some larger/more innovative new product projects. Ensure clear processes are in place to support successful product development and delivery
  • Line management of 1-4 product managers: Coach and mentor product managers to ensure they are working to the highest quality and are empowered to deliver quickly while maintaining high standards and working to help the business meet its core objectives and mission
  • Product strategy and prioritization for our mortgage lending products: We have a clear product strategy but this will need evolution and development and constant prioritization. We intentionally run lean and need to be resolute in working only on the most important things
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Build relationships and collaborate with all parts of the Hometrack business and align and educate stakeholders around the product vision and roadmap. In particular, working closely with the commercial team to establish clear client discovery processes and ensure regular communication and feedback from customers and those front-facing
  • Customer engagement: Represent Hometrack\'s products to mortgage lender customers at operational and executive levels. Generate excitement about our products and support our commercial team in sales engagements. Use these engagements to gather customer insight that drives innovation
Background of the Candidate
  • Significant experience working in a mortgage lender with a transformation or product team, with a track record of seeing programs of work through to delivery and ongoing management/continuous enhancement OR
  • Experience at Project Leader level or above as a consultant working on strategic and operational projects with mortgage lenders and broader financial services OR
  • Experience as a Product Manager working in a technology or data provider to mortgage lenders
  • Experience with data and data products - able to interpret, analyze, and present complex data sets and comfortable working directly with analysts and data science to produce complex analytics that enhance/develop products
  • Experience working in complex technology estates and B2B software products - track record of delivering projects that navigate complex technologies and multiple B2B software/data providers
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment and dealing with related complexity
