Senior Property Manager / Head of Property Management

£45,000–£60,000 basic, depending on experience

We are currently working with a respected and established London estate agency that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Property Manager or Head of Property Management to join its Woolwich office.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already knows residential property management well and is looking for a role where they can take on real responsibility within a professional and friendly environment.
The business manages approximately 400 residential properties across London .
Depending on experience, this could either be a senior hands-on Property Management role or a broader Head of Property Management position with responsibility for the department, processes and wider team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Helping oversee a portfolio of approximately 400 residential properties
- Managing day-to-day maintenance issues and escalations
- Liaising with landlords, tenants and contractors
- Overseeing property inspections and pre-tenancy checks
- Ensuring properties remain compliant with current legislation and safety requirements
- Maintaining accurate property and maintenance records
- Working closely with the Lettings and Accounts teams
- Managing more complex Property Management issues when required
- Supporting and improving processes within the department
- Taking on wider responsibility for the team and department depending on experience
Ideal candidate
We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and confident managing a busy residential portfolio.
You will already have strong experience within Property Management and a good understanding of the standards, legislation and level of service required in a professional estate agency environment.
You will also be:
- Confident dealing with landlords, tenants and contractors
- Comfortable managing a busy and varied workload
- Calm and organised under pressure
- Naturally helpful and customer focused
- Able to work independently while also being part of a wider team
- Interested in taking on more responsibility and progressing your career
ARLA / Propertymark qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential for the right person.
This role could suit an experienced Senior Property Manager looking for the next step , or someone already operating at Head of Property Management level who is looking for a role with more ownership and influence.
