West London (Hybrid – 3 days per week)
Up to £35,000 plus performance bonus
We’re looking for a Retail Analyst to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team working at the heart of the retail and digital commerce industry. This is a hands-on role offering real autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact. You’ll support and develop a well-established retail data analysis programme, working with large-scale market data and turning complex trends into clear, compelling insights for members, stakeholders, and live audiences.
What you’ll be doing
- Data & Reporting
- Work closely with the Retail & Data Director to build and develop a major retail market Index
- Manage the weekly production of market reporting using SQL, Azure and Excel
- Carry out anomaly detection across weekly and monthly data submissions and index results
- Liaise with retail members to ensure accurate and consistent data collection
- Transform and maintain historic retailer submissions into a master dataset using Power Query and Excel
- Support retail members in setting up and improving their data submission processes
- Maintain a clean, well-organised retail membership CRM database
- Analyse index data to identify market trends and translate them into shareable insights
- Create monthly insight packs for the commercial/sales team
- Help plan and develop presentations for industry events and breakfast briefings
- Analyse GA4 data from retail panels and shape it into publishable insight content
- Devise and deliver new data and research studies for the wider insights programme
- Produce a weekly insight piece for webinars and LinkedIn
- Play a key role in the ongoing improvement of the digital dashboard (Power BI)
- Present insights to retail audiences via member calls and live events
- Collaborate with marketing to promote the latest insights across events and channels
What you’ll bring
- Medium to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience querying databases using MS SQL Server
- Knowledge of Power BI and Power Query (desirable)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful, engaging insight
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
- Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics (a plus)
- Confidence turning research and analysis into clear presentations
- Absolute discretion when handling confidential information
- Ability to perform well under pressure — with a sense of humour

Experience required
You’ll likely have 1–2 years’ experience in an analyst role, ideally with exposure to online retail. Experience simplifying complex data trends into sharp, concise conclusions is highly valued, along with an understanding of how retailers analyse, collate, and report performance.
