Content First Social Media & Content Manager

Sidcup, Greater London ( onsite) | Full-time

The Role

We\’re looking for a content-first, strategic second Social Media & Content Manager who doesn\’t just \”post\”—they
craft moments
.

You\’ll be the in-house visual and editorial heartbeat of House of Willow Alexander, responsible for capturing and conveying our unique tone across platforms in a way that builds
brand equity, emotional resonance, and commercial value
.

This is not a scheduler role. We\’re not looking for another Canva carousel factory. You\’ll be deeply plugged into the business — from our garden design and interiors team to behind-the-scenes shoots, brand drops, and The Hearth (our lifestyle magazine).

You\’ll
know what\’s happening
, and how to translate it into content that performs across IG, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn — all while remaining editorial, aesthetic, and on-brand.

What You\’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Create native, scroll-stopping content
(Reels, Stories, TikToks, carousels, graphics, interviews, memes, and product features) that build brand awareness and affinity
  • Own the monthly and weekly social content calendar
in alignment with commercial goals, launches, seasonal rhythms and cultural moments
  • Write witty, intelligent captions and microblogs
in our voice — editorial, emotionally intelligent, aesthetically aware and gently humorous
  • Collaborate with the PR/Partnerships Manager
to cross-activate influencer and partner campaigns
  • Edit, style and deliver content across multiple formats
, using tools like CapCut, Lightroom, Adobe CS, or Canva Pro
  • Track analytics
, interpret what works, and adapt content accordingly with performance insights and platform trends
  • Show up on-site
: you\’ll regularly be on set, and in the thick of real-life service delivery to capture raw, compelling, in-the-moment content

Who We\’re Looking For:

  • 3–5 years experience in social or content roles within a
    premium brand
    (lifestyle, interiors, fashion, or sustainability)
  • A
    maker mentality
    — you love to produce, write, edit, style and publish at speed without sacrificing beauty or tone

  • A deep understanding of brand storytelling — you know the difference between content and communication

  • A sharp creative eye and
    editorial instinct
with understanding of aesthetic composition and emotional narrative

  • Comfort behind the lens (iPhone or camera) and confidence with editing tools (CapCut, Lightroom, Adobe CS)

  • Up-to-date with Instagram and TikTok trends but
    not trend-driven
    — you lead with concept, not mimicry

  • Excellent grammar, syntax and spelling — you\’re fluent in tone of voice

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Photography/videography background
  • Experience launching content formats (e.g. IG Lives, interviews, community stories)
  • Blog writing or editorial layout experience
  • Comfort working with performance teams or creative strategists

Perks & Culture:

  • Free HoWA membership
  • Staff discount across all services and store
  • Creative tools & development budget
  • Access to editorial archive, partner discounts, and event invitations
  • Progression opportunity into Editorial Lead as we scale
