Role: Digital Trading Manager

Reporting To: Customer & Strategy Director

Based In: London Office, Shoreditch (onsite)

Working Pattern: full time - 4-day week scheme

The Role: The Digital Trading Manager will own the ecommerce sales channel, operating across both Retail and Trade (B2B customers). Responsible for forecasting ecommerce sales performance and the digital content and visual merchandising execution to support that sales forecast, the Digital Trading Manager will need to understand both commercial and brand priorities and have the ability to actively optimise the ecommerce experience to maximise performance. This role will be responsible for managing the trading calendar, the digital execution of all launches (including new season, capsules and other initiatives), optimising the digital customer journey from initial discovery to conversion, working closely with the Digital Product Manager. These responsibilities span all territories, with responsibility for 2 websites: the UK/ Rest of World site and the North America site. This role will be working alongside the Digital Product Manager (responsible for the web development roadmap, tech stack and systems) and managing the Ecommerce Coordinator to ensure campaigns are executed with excellence across all digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the global ecommerce trading strategy inline with budgets and overall business ambition.
  • Forecasting and monitoring ecommerce sales.
  • Owning the ecommerce lines in the company calendar; including website content areas, email and SMS campaigns and commercial and promotional planning.
  • Analysing and communicating the trajectory of ecommerce KPIs.
  • Work with Customer & Strategy Director to set KPI benchmarks and goals from analytics and competitive analysis; review and provide insight to leadership as needed.
  • Visual merchandising strategy and execution, including new page suggestions for SEO and UX value, campaign planning and A/B testing using Athos (previously SearchSpring), with the support of the eCommerce Coordinator.
  • Oversee and coordinate product (new season and capsule collections), and brand launches. Working in tandem with the Digital Product Manager and collaboratively with the Merchandising, Operations and Content teams.
  • Management of the Search strategy (organic and paid) in conjunction with an external search consultant.
  • Using analytics to make data-lead decisions on initiatives that drive recruitment, repeat purchase and overall conversion.
  • Collaborate with the regional Trade teams and other departments to continually optimise the digital user experience.
  • Work closely with the Digital Product Manager to prioritise development updates.
  • Support the team with end-to-end testing of new site fixes and features including liaising with development agency.

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years experience working in an ecommerce or digital team, preferably for a premium brand.
  • Extensive experience operating within a CMS, preferably Shopify.
  • Analytical skills, experience building reports on weekly/monthly summaries and confidence using Excel.
  • Experience of managing online/performance marketing channels (eg. SEO, PPC, email, affiliates and retargeting).
  • Comprehensive understanding of analysis tools such as GA4, HotJar and CXP platforms.
  • Strong business judgement and decision making skills; ability to identify, prioritise and articulate highest impact initiatives.
  • Ability to identify, prioritise and articulate high priority tasks and longer term projects.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident team player and leader, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, oral and written.
