We are currently seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen here at House of George. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven individual to be a part of the launch of the House of George Hotel, nestled in the beautiful town of Broadway in the Cotswolds. This role will allow you to work in a 28-cover restaurant. We’re looking for someone to be a part of, and work closely with the entire family to create a unique dining experience using the best produce in the British Isles. As Commis Chef, you will be passionate, experienced, adaptive, creative and keen to learn. We want someone who can work well in a team and support colleagues while sharing knowledge with passion.
What we expect:
- Monitors kitchen equipment and reports issues to superiors
- Continually develops culinary knowledge to produce high-quality meals
- Measures, mixes, and prepares meal ingredients, sauces, and seasonings
- Washes, chops, and cuts fruit, meat, and vegetable items
- Assesses inventory and requests resupply when necessary
- Plates meal items under the chef de parties supervision
- Disposes of spoiled items and adheres to sanitation policies
