We’re working with a dynamic and fast-growing fashion business based in Manchester, renowned for its collaborations with leading Premier League football clubs. They are now seeking a talented Technical Product Developer to join their vibrant and collaborative head office team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for sportswear and fashion, combined with strong technical expertise in product development and tech pack creation.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years’ experience in a similar role and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Attend customer meetings alongside the Account Manager to gather detailed briefs for new collections
- Collaborate closely with clients to ensure all product requirements are clearly defined
- Lead internal development meetings with the Account Manager and Garment Technologist to create comprehensive factory briefs
- Develop and manage seasonal range plans
- Create, review, and update detailed tech packs, ensuring accuracy and completeness (Adobe Illustrator)
- Work alongside the Garment Technologist to develop and maintain accurate size specifications and grading
- Liaise with suppliers, mills, and trim partners to develop high-quality samples
- Monitor the critical path (CP), ensuring timelines are met in collaboration with the wider team
- Lead sample reviews, partnering with the Garment Technologist to present to senior stakeholders
- Produce detailed workbooks, manage fit comments, and provide clear feedback to suppliers at each stage
- Communicate with customers on fabric, trims, and sample approvals
- Support the production process end-to-end, working closely with suppliers, Account Managers, and technical teams
- 2+ years’ experience in a Product Developer role (sportswear or fashion preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge, including creating and updating tech packs
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with both internal teams and external partners
- Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
