Our client is looking for a Menswear/Athleisure Sports designer. The role can be junior to mid-level, working on their 3 mens brands - sold on VERY, FOOTLOCKER & M&M.
THE ROLE
- Designing menswear sports Athleisure product - working with VERY, M&M, FOOTLOCKER.
- Market research.
- Work closely with the Head of Design, PD from initial design to delivery and manage allocated seasons from initial design to SMS delivery where required.
- Manage the Critical Paths from initial design.
- Work with the head of design to source suitable fabrics and develop/source all trims.
- Assist the designers in building fabric packs and sending out for all relevant brands' seasons when required.
- Ensure the ranges meet the margin requirements as stipulated at the start of every season.
- Manage all development sheets, such as range plan, line sheets, trim/fabric trackers.
- Tech pack creation and management.
- Compile all relevant information including CADS, spec sheets, BOMS, product details etc. for factory briefing and proto comment stages.
- Tech pack editing when required for allocated projects, briefing out, and briefing for all sample stages.
- Work closely with the Garment Tech team, attending fit sessions, and assisting in taking notes etc.
IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTES:
- Experience in Menswear Athleisure/sports license brands is essential for the role.
- Experience in Tech packs, overseas factories, design, critical path, sourcing trims.
- Solid communication internally and externally via email, phone and in person.
- Strong Outlook and Excel skills.
- Comfortable working overseas and prepared to travel whenever needed.
- Commercially sharp, resilient and highly motivated.
- Able to work under pressure.
