Our client, a premium bedding and textiles brand based in Manchester, is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Sales Account Manager with a strong background in Textiles and Bedding/soft homeware products who have supplied to multiple high street retailers and independents such as John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Dunelm, TK Maxx, and many more.

The role involves:

  • Building a relevant, growing, and profitable home textile business by extending the brand's portfolio into all targeted trade channels, in existing and new categories/geographies.
  • Managing existing accounts such as John Lewis across various regions within the UK and continuously bringing in new account opportunities in national and independent retailers.
  • Contributing to the achievements of the business’s overall growth plan by driving and delivering profitable sales.
  • Achieving budget goals of sales in the agreed markets and developing the sales and customer strategy.
  • Creating short, mid, and long-term sales strategies.
  • Researching and onboarding new customers to further develop new business opportunities.
  • Managing and developing key retail accounts.
  • Providing global market intelligence and competitor activity reports to management.
  • Ensuring customers receive requested products and services in a timely fashion.
  • Managing stock forecasting and inventory.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in sales account and business development for a bedding textiles company.
  • Proven history in business development and account management in the market working with national retailers.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering sales and profitable growth.
  • Commercial sales experience within the home textiles industry.
  • Experience in achieving sales targets over £2 million (individual achievement).
  • Bedding/textiles product knowledge and import supply chain industry experience.
  • Customer-focused with strong account management skills.
  • Able to travel as needed within the UK and to trade shows overseas.
  • Hold a UK Driving Licence.
